WHO IS DJ WEASEL
Nick 'Weasel' Frymet, also known as DJ Weasel, has been a fan of electronic dance music for over twenty years and in 2021, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, he finally picked up a DJ controller and got his start making mixes of his own. Since then, DJ Weasel has been on stage at Rev Ultra Lounge in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota and has over two hundred episodes of his weekly streamed sets available on-demand.
WHAT DJ WEASEL PLAYS
DJ Weasel is a fan of a wide variety of genres of electronic dance music, but he specializes in mixing trance and house, featuring them specifically in his weekly streamed shows. On the off occasion, he also enjoys spicing things up by featuring the harder styles, such as drum and bass and hardstyle. The joy of EDM is exploring and enjoying the variety that's possible and this is what DJ Weasel enjoys about it most.
Here is a weekly trance and progressive house new releases showcase show, performed and recorded live on Twitch on most Friday evenings. Starting with house at the beginning of the show and progressively raising the BPM as we get into trance, Here features songs between the BPM of 120 to 140 over the course of the three hour set.
Feel is a weekly downtempo and organic house new releases showcase show, performed and recorded live on Twitch on most Sunday mornings. Wake up to morning vibes, sometimes delving into the similar sounds of afro, deep, and funky house, Feel typically features songs between the BPM of 120 to 124 over the course of the two hour set.
Thonk is an occasional harder styles showcase show, performed and recorded live on Twitch about once a month. Each set, we feature a different harder style, such as hardstyle, hardcore, and drum & bass. Thonk sets tends to last about one hour and the BPM can range anywhere from 87 to 175. They'll definitely give you some energy.
Best is a monthly and yearly showcase show, performed and recorded live on Twitch each month and culminating to two massive sets at the end of the year. These sets contain the best trance songs that released that month and the finest 138 songs make it to the final sets of the year, with the last one performed for Weasel's New Year's Ravin' Eve.
